A SMALL SERVER. A FRESH START.
You're home.
Welcome to Bluetail.
Your web server is serving its first hello. This is the default landing page, ready for whatever you make next.

THE NEXT CHAPTER
Your website starts right here.
A homepage, a project notebook, a little corner of the internet. Start with a file and grow from there.
-
Replace this hello.
Edit
/https-server/index.htmlon the OS, or copy your own HTML file over it. That file is the page visitors see at/. -
Give it some company.
Add stylesheets, scripts, images, and more pages inside
/https-server. Keep files public and readable, then link to them from your HTML.For example,
/https-server/about.htmlbecomes a page at/about.html. Try a nested example ↗ -
Refresh. You're published.
Save your files and reload this page. Site files are read from disk on each request, so editing your website doesn't require a kernel rebuild.
Working from the OS source tree?
The starter files live in system-network/https-server/. Edit them there, then update their pinned SHA-256 values in system/catalog.toml before building your next image. Register any additional files in the catalog so they are installed too.
To import a page into a stopped, writable data image:
cargo run --bin systema-image --features host-tools -- \
import path/to/data.img system-network/https-server/index.html \
/https-server/index.html
Import the stylesheet, script, and PNG alongside it, at the same paths shown above. Keep individual HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files within 64 KiB; raster images can be up to 2 MiB. The logo above is the original PNG, sized down only with CSS.
Nothing missing. Just room to make something.
Seeing this page means you've reached the default website. Replace it whenever you're ready. We'll leave the front door open for your ideas.
